Is It Too Late To Vote For Hillary?

There is no doubt that the Obama Presidency is a disaster in the making. Obama was and is a powerful speaker, although it is no longer relevant. His flowery rhetoric rings very hollow in August of 2011 as he is exposed as a Repbulican in thinly disguised Democratic clothing. I felt all along that Hillary Clinton was the answer to the disasterous 8 years of the George W. Bush appointment, and that she was really they cange we could believe in. I think there were nefarious reasons that Democrats voted for Obama besides his powerful oratories and his strong promise of change, which was rhetorical on it's face. People were excited that there was a black man running for president other than Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, a very polished, educated and intelligent person who seemed to be a dedicated Democrat without being too partisan or extreme. I think Americans are honest, fair people and they liked the idea of seeing the first black president elected and were confident that Obama was the one to go for, and that he was an assertive leader and would certainly bring about the "change" he promised they should believe in. This is all well and good, except noone talked about Obama's record, or lack thereof. He was a mediocre senator at best, did nothing remarkable or even noteable, voted present more than 130 times in the Illinois senate in order not to step on any toes of either party. That is not leadership, that is chicken, to put it kindly. I think Obama's only real ambition was to make history as the first black president. Otherwise the emperor has no clothes. I think Obama owes the people who voted for him an explanation of who he is, why he wanted to be president and what he hopes to accomplish other than supporting the Republican agenda. The time has come for the American people to stop coddling and babying Obama and make him stand up like a man and show some leadership. Otherwise he should step aside and let Joe Biden take the presidency, at least Biden shows some semblance of leadership. Something needs to be done to stop Obama from hiding behind the Republicans as he helps them push their own agenda. I fear Obama is taking down the Democratic party as he enables the Republicans to push through an agenda that they have tried and failed to do for decades. Isn't is ironically sad that the "change we can believe in" is a Democratic president turning Republican before our very eyes?
