MICHAEL JACKSON

Thank you Tohme Tohme, for the wonderful 4 volume set of CD's of Michael Jackson's "The Ultimate Collection" signed "Love To Woody, Michael Jackson." Of course it is a treasure that I will always keep. Having only gotten it about a month or so before Michael died, I feel I was meant to have it. I, like most people, considered Michael a curiosity as well as a great artist, and was a "fan" in several senses of the word. He was an amazing phenomonon, determined to go after things in his own way, I guess it all amounted to seeking personal fulfillment, even though most people didn't understand it. I'm glad he was acquitted of the charges brought by the 2 children; most people are fair enough to accept the verdict determined in a court of law, and assume Michael was innocent, although we will likely never know exactly what the circustances were. Sometimes I think such great talent and artistry is troublesome to the artist, always seeking fulfillment on a higher level, reaching farther and farther until they fall. There appears to be an inherent sadness in their lives, and fullfillment....and happiness....and sleep...never really come. The same with Elvis.....perhaps no earthly fulfillment was available to them and they were simply "hanging on", just waiting for their "time" to come." With Michael, as with Elvis, the words from "Hamlet" come to mind: "Now cracks a noble heart......Good Night Sweet Prince...And flights of angels sing the to thy rest." Good night Michael....and Thanks.
